HISTORY OF LAGONITA LODGE

Before the current Lodge was built, the property housed the original Lagonita Lodge: A sprawling ranch-style resort that boasted comfort and spacious accommodations on the Lake, an outdoor heated pool, deluxe rooms with wood-burning fireplaces, a boat dock, tons of activities and 4 ½ acres to roam.

 

Guests were promised a relaxing time away from home and away from the main hustle and bustle in Big Bear’s tourist center – the Village. Today, the lodge carries on in this vein – providing spacious and well-appointed accommodations on the same 4.5 acres.

 

We are still a great place to stay with easy access to the Valley’s busier tourist areas. More importantly, Lagonita Lodge still remains a great base for memorable trips to Big Bear Lake, CA.
